a. Purpose
Our mission is to unite career centre of global universities and Chinese employers to provide professional career support to students who wish to seek job opportunities in China. Our services are designed to enhance the excellence of collegiate career services for our members by enabling you and other professionals to meet, learn, exchange ideas, and bring best job opportunities to students.
b. Agreement
You agree that by clicking ‘join now’, ‘sign up’, or similar, registering, accessing or using our services, your future activities are student-centred and positively contribute to the student experience in their institutions. You will show a clear commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
You agree that you wish to enter into a co-operative relationship for the general purpose of promoting job opportunities for in China for students registered on programmes operated by University, as well as other collaborative activity for the mutual benefit of GUCCU and University.
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with terms and conditions listed below. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use the Service.
When you create an account with us, you must provide us information that is accurate, complete, and current. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.
You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password, whether your password is with our Service or a third-party service.
You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.
a. Benefits. A member of GUCCU is entitled to benefits as follows:
(i) A standard format China job portal will be created by GUCCU, which can link to 15000+ Chinese employers; providing data analysis of students’ job application, events registration, interview participation and the final offer invitation etc.
(ii) A comprehensive career development guide, which is a 2-day-course with (10 sections as stranded or tailored modules), is available to overseas Chinese students of the members;
(iii) Invitation to the annual Global University Career Development (China) Conference. GUCCU will be inviting members’ career center officers to visit China, who will also contribute to the development and distribution of the annual career development report of Chinese overseas talents and set subjects to discuss. GUCCU will also be inviting HR experts and enterprise HRs from China who will interact with members, and arranging visits to representative enterprises in China;
(iv) Invitation to participate into the Global University Best Practice campaign/competition to promote exchange; invitation to attend the award ceremony and gala dinner;
(v) Subject to the availability, large career fair might be held twice a year. One fair will be held in China, which is mainly for alumni and another fair will be held at overseas universities, mainly for graduating students / fresh graduates;
(vi) Students from member universities will have the priority to be recommend to GUCCU employer networks for internship/graduate roles
(vii) Active communication system established via GUCCU Regional Directors and Management Committee for member universities to ensure feedback collections and university business alignment.
b. Obligations. A GUCCU member shall undertake the following obligations:
(i) Proactively provide the up-to-date job information feed from GUCCU to its Chinese overseas students on a regular basis;
(ii) Collaboratively support the sourcing of event venues and the facilitation of media promotion of career events local to the Partner hosted by GUCCU both external and internal (Depends on different regulations in University, not a necessary requirement);
(iii) Proactively promote exchange and share information including events and practices with other GUCCU partner universities on a regular basis.
(iv) Proactively participate or assign appropriate delegates to attend the annual Global University Career Development (China) Conference as well as other events i.e Careers Fair for Chinese Returnees hosted by GUCCU (Not a necessary requirement).
(v) Provide timely support on feeding information to GUCCU management committee/ Regional Directors on government initiatives, trend of international education and industry practices to support GUCCU benching marking.
(vi) Support GUCCU Regional Director on promoting GUCCU to prospective university partners by providing events feedback, experience sharing. etc.
(vii) Provide timely feedback on GUCCU events and activities to GUCCU Regional Directors to raise important items to be discussed in GUCCU management committee meeting
Registration to be a GUCCU member will not be charged unless a new agreement is reached between the two parties.
GUCCU can not or does not guarantee that their web site(s) will operate continuously or without interruptions or be error free, but they undertake to use commercially reasonable endeavors to maintain the operation of the website(s)
Students agree that the information in their resumes may be searched or copied by third parties if they enter their personal information on the website operated by GUCCU and GUCCU’s partners and choose to disclose the resumes publicly on the website when they submit the resumes.
No personal information (i.e. name, address, email address, phone number) provided by students to GUCCU will be disclosed to any third party unless such disclosure is permitted by students, such disclosure is required by the law, court order or regulators’ order or GUCUU believe that such disclosure is necessary to comply with the obligations under the law.
GUCCU or You may terminate this agreement at any time with notice to each other. On termination, you lose the right to access or use the services.
